Stonehenge Alliance

A number of British archaeological, environmental, transport, and Pagan organizations who have joined together to oppose the highway plan.

Alliance members

The Stonehenge Alliance member groups include:

	Friends of the Earth (National, South West, and Wiltshire Network)
	Campaign to Protect Rural England (National and Wiltshire Branch)
	Campaign for Better Transport (National and Salisbury)
	Ancient Sacred Landscapes Network (ASLAN)
	RESCUE (British Archaeological Trust)

Alliance aims

In its own words: "The Stonehenge Alliance is an informal alliance of organizations and individuals formed, under the Chairmanship of Lord Kennet, to oppose the Government's currently preferred road scheme for the upgrading of the A303 at Stonehenge and to put forward alternatives which are less damaging to archaeology and the environment. Stonehenge Alliance supporters include: Ancient Sacred Landscapes Network, The Council for the Protection of Rural England, Friends of the Earth, RESCUE: The British Archaeological Trust, The Pagan Federation, and Campaign for Better Transport (formerly Transport 2000)."
