  • Herefordshire: Herefordshire WT: 50th Birthday Fritillary Event: Sat, 14/04/2012: "The day will include guided walks over the Lugg Meadow [alongside the River Lugg], demonstrations of coppice crafts and skills and Wildplay activities. The Trust will also be joined by the Floodplain Meadows Partnership and the Bumblebee Conservation Trust who will be surveying snakeshead fritillary populations and bees. You will be able to see them in action and even take part! There will be stalls selling plants, homemade cakes, books and Trust goods with tea and coffee being available."

Chimney Meadows lies along the banks of the River Thames, totals 250 hectares of floodplain flower rich meadows, wet woodland, 16km of hedgerows interlaced with 18km of waterways.
